The Perfect Girlfriend?
So, I was on net today & I read something about a "perfect girlfriend".
![]() |
The Perfect Match |
So, all you gotta do is define your "perfect girlfriend", they'll bring "her" into existence & you can connect & interact with her publicly on your favorite social-networking website. And so, you'll enjoy a long-distance "relationship" without all the drama.
Hmmm.... I wonder if MEN will get any fulfillment from all of these..

I'm not anyone's DOG!
I was reading a female "motoring journalist's" article on her blog/website today & I thought I should share this with you all.
For someone who used to work in a male-dominated industry before (bartending), I'm able to understand her gripes about working with men. However, I also felt that as I had chosen to enter the industry, I have to not only work doubly-hard to prove myself, but be able to handle the job like a guy. Unlike her, I've never referred to myself, or my peers, as "dogs in the same neighbourhood". Not only do I find this term degrading, it actually implies that the writer is a dog herself. Now, why or who, in their right mind for that matter, would want to call themself a dog? So does that mean if I ask you to go "Fetch!", you would? How about "Heel!" & "Roll Over!"?
Look girl, if you can't handle the MEN, DON'T JOIN THE INDUSTRY! You are right, it takes lotsa BALLS and a damn THICK SKIN to be able to just survive in the industry. You also need to have a certain amount of WRITING COMPETENCY, which, sadly to say, you don't have any. Not forgetting, a huge dollop of EGO to match the guys', of course.
So, what I'd suggest is, you go be a good girl now & "PLAY DEAD!"

Stuttgart Auto Triple Celebrations; Donates $250,000 For Needy Students
Local Porsche dealer sets new sales records, celebrates 25th anniversary as Porsche dealer and unveils the all-new 911 Carrera GTS.
Following a record sales performance in 2010 with 403 vehicles and an excellent sales figure of 84 cars in January this year alone, Stuttgart Auto has yet another reason to celebrate: the unveiling of the new 911 Carrera GTS.
The unveiling was an especially memorable occasion witnessed by 500 guests at the Ritz Carlton Millenia as Stuttgart Auto also celebrates the 25th anniversary of Porsche in Singapore.
The 3.8-litre flat-six, 408bhp Carrera GTS is mated to Porsche’s seven-speed PDK box. With the Sport Chrono Package Plus in Sport Plus mode, it sprints from zero to 100km/h in only 4.2 seconds.
Available as both a Coupe and Cabriolet, the basic price of the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS starts from S$428,888 for the Coupe, and S$468,888 for the Cabriolet.

Alfa Romeo MiTo Or Citroen DS3?
Even though Italy won the 2006 edition of the FIFA World Cup, we felt compelled to revisit this rivalry of two European romance countries that has produced two interesting "hot-hatches" in recent times...
In the world of hatchbacks, the line between “hot”, “warm” and “pseudo performance” types have long been polarized. Long ago, a hot-hatch is simply a no-frills three door hatchback with a powerful engine and a stick shift. A bare interior with only basic necessities and two rear seats - that was meant to be there only as a joke – was also part of the deal. But over time, the hot-hatch category morphed into something more user-friendly and practical, even turning mass market. You get cars like the current crop of Golf GTIs/Rs, Sciroccos, Focus ST, 135i, Cooper S… Well you get the drift.
On one end, spirited drivers loathe the thought of the ever-changing landscape. On the other, you see gleaming new fast hatchbacks roaming the streets and gaining interest yet once again. Which should explain the introduction of the Alfa Romeo MiTo with a new twin clutch transmission and a Citroen DS3 THP that shares similar mechanical bits with the Mini Cooper S.

Ciao di Nuovo
If you are a loyal fan of hot hatches, you would have noticed how this particular car segment is sometimes on a roll, but in most instances just plain quiet.
After all, there is always that pertinent question: do we need them? Well in a land where practicality and value-for-money rules, it comes as no surprise why most car dealers here chose not to bring in such cars. However as of late, there is an upheaval of – ok, not exactly hot hot-hatches – performance hatchbacks. Sure, the Volkswagen Golf GTI still reigns supreme, but the arrival of the updated Mini Cooper S, Citroen DS3 THP and Audi A1 certainly gives hope to this diminishing league. But let’s not forget - all the way from Italy - the Alfa Romeo MiTo TCT...

For All Couples (Married or Otherwise)
![]() |
isn't it? |
A dinner date is nice but it is not the only solution to spending quality couple time. There are many other ways available (and sometimes, they don't even cost anything at all!)
You could team up on doing household chores together. Especially if you have kids, put them to bed & get around to cleaning up the kitchen together. Whilst doing so, not only will you be able to talk & laugh, but you'll both appreciate the other better.
Or organize a movie night for the both of you. Prepare 2 cups of coffee (or tea, if you can't stand coffee) and a packet or two of chips and you're ready to snuggle up on the sofa, enjoying the movie in the comfort of your home..
You could plan to have a weekly or monthly date night, where it's just the two of you. If you've got kids, get a babysitter to sit in & care for the kids. Dress up and go for nice meal, followed by some shopping (actual spending not required) & maybe, if you've got the time, some ice-cream after..
This can be therapeutic as it allows you to get to know your partner and brings you back to when it was all new and lovely. It'll allow you to fall in love with them all over again, and the afterglow..... will remain for quite awhile.. *sigh*
There are many other ways to spend quality time together.. Maybe YOU could suggest some to us.. xoxo

White & Green
The beauty of nature..
![]() | |
Picture courtesy of Wedding Cakes |
Green has always been a symbol of freshness, newness and life. A wedding with a garden theme, would only evoke a picture of serenity and freshness. Spring comes to mind, and the feeling of peacefulness starts to envelope oneself.
When planning a wedding with these 2 colors, you'd think of calla lilies and tulips, roses and orchids. You're likely to have ivy leaves draping the tables or vases.
For my friends who're getting married this May, there's no better theme than this. As they journey through life together, may this be the start of something beautiful..
Beautiful Cakes for Beautiful Couples
So, everybody has an idea of what kind of wedding cakes they'd like. In my last post, I mentioned the symbolic reasons to having a wedding cake at your reception.
A couple of friends of ours will be getting married this year, and I've got to agree with their choices for wedding cakes.. It's simple, understated yet practical (kinda like them)..
